| Episode 2.18 : The Experiment An interesting episode in which an enlightened Murdoch gives space on the ranch for an experimental prison farm which he runs on an honour system. He develops a bond with one prisoner whom he tries to help (a not-so-subtle substitution for his failure to find Johnny and prevent him from becoming Johnny Madrid). Notable for it being the one and only time either of the boys calls Murdoch "Pa" – Johnny, trying to divert Murdoch's attention from the fact that they've disobeyed his orders. |
